Saudi state-backed artificial intelligence company Humain plans to launch an initial public offering within three to four years and is considering a dual listing in Saudi Arabia and the US, according to its CEO Tareq Amin.

Project with AWS to come
He announced the plans to go public at the Future Investment Initiative conference in Riyadh on Tuesday, saying: “I hope it will be listed here and on the Nasdaq as well.”
Amin made the comments in a press conference at FII to launch Humain One, an AI-based computer operating system that he said will allow users to interact with their computer “like you speak to a human being”.
The AI and data centre company is a subsidiary of the $930 billion Public Investment Fund. It has invested in producing its own personal computer and is hoping to open its first data centre next year.
“We are not a small company, in terms of funding and capital allocation,” said Amin, who told reporters that PIF had provided the company with “everything we ask for” in terms of funding.
Humain plans to announce new partnerships in the near future. “You will hear something big with AWS”, Amin said, referring to US tech company Amazon’s cloud computing arm Amazon Web Services.
Humain is already in talks with OpenAI, the creator of ChatGPT, and has partnered with California-based AI company Groq on a number of projects, including Humain One.
PIF companies are under increased pressure to turn a profit and create opportunities for the private sector to participate.
In a separate talk at FII on Tuesday, finance minister Khalid Al-Falih suggested that the government and PIF would look at scaling back its footprint in the Saudi economy to “let the private sector come in and start investing”.
“We are a commercial entity at the end of the day,” Amin said. “We have to generate the right return for our investors.”
